Ridgeview Medical Center Licenses LIFEBACK™ Spine Programs from Spinal Designs
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—November 20, 2006—Spinal Designs International, Inc. and Ridgeview Medical Center (Waconia, MN) have signed an agreement whereby Ridgeview Medical Center will add a LIFEBACK™ Spine Rehab Clinic as an extension of its Ridgeview Rehab Specialties services in Chanhassen, MN.
“The incidence and
prevalence of chronic back pain is increasing with our aging population and
sedentary lifestyles,” said Tom Konrardy, Director of Ridgeview Rehab
Specialties. “Adding LIFEBACK Spine Programs to our rehab services ensures that
we can provide a high-quality solution for patients suffering from this
debilitating chronic disease.”
“We’re pleased that LIFEBACK Spine Programs have been selected by
this highly respected healthcare organization to improve access to excellent
long-term results from patients,” said Greg Peterson, CEO and President of Spinal
Designs. “By including these programs in Ridgeview’s care venue, patients have
additional assurance that functional recovery from chronic back pain is
possible.”
This new Chanhassen location is the third LIFEBACK Spine Rehab
Clinic to be added in the Twin Cities in 2006. The opening of the Chanhassen location comes two weeks after Spinal
Designs entered into a strategic alliance and co-development agreement with
SpineMark, Inc. (San Diego, CA). Under the terms of that agreement, LIFEBACK
Spine Rehab Clinics will provide non-surgical and post-operative rehab services
in SpineMark’s national network of Spine Centers of Excellence.
LIFEBACK Spine Programs are designed to enable patients to recover
from chronic and recurring back and neck pain. They take a whole-person
approach to what is a whole-person problem. Documented results on thousands of patients show that LIFEBACK programs
help chronic spine pain sufferers reduce their pain, increase their home and
work activities, and improve their short- and long-term quality of life.
Spinal Designs International licenses
proprietary, evidence-based LIFEBACK Spine Programs to hospitals and
provider clinics as services for their chronic spine patients. These programs treat spinal
disease in its totality through patient-responsible disease
management versus repeated clinician-provided treatments that focus
on symptom management. The programs are available through LIFEBACK
Spine Rehab Clinics in Minnesota and North Dakota. For more information on
LIFEBACK programs, send email to info@spinaldesigns.com.
